Simple Salad Recipes 1


This week cooking all recipes gonna post recipes for salads. Let you all try the simply delicious salad recipes. Presenting the simple salad recipes 1 - garden medley salad, pasta & bacon salad and three bean salad.

Garden Medley
Salad
Ingredients:

  • 1 lettuce, shredded
  • 1 x 300g pkt frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 1 cup diced tomato
  • Thousand Island Dressing
Steps:
  1. Combine lettuce, mixed vegetables & tomatoes.
  2. Pour over sufficient dressing to moisten, toss lightly. Serves 4-6


Pasta & Bacon Salad

Ingredients:
  • 250g shell pasta
  • 1 cup peas
  • 125g bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stick celery
  • ½ capsicum
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 150ml mayonnaise
  • 150ml cream
  • 100g carrots, grated
Steps:
  1. Cook shells in enough hot water to cover, add the oil, cook on High 8-9 mins.
  2. Stir, add the peas & carrots, cook further 4-5 mins.
  3. Leave covered to finish cooking while you prepare the rest of the vegetables.
  4. Finely slice the celery, dice capsicum & finely chop the onion.
  5. Cook bacon on layers of kitchen paper till crumbly, about 3-4 mins on High.
  6. Drain pasta if necessary, stir in rest of the vegetables & bacon, drain the pineapple & add, stir in mayonnaise & cream mixture.
  7. Chill.


Three Bean Salad
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup noodles or macaroni
  • 310g corn kernels
  • 1 red capsicum, diced
  • 440g three bean mix
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 3 spring onions, sliced
  • 2 sticks celery, sliced
Dressing:
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp curry
Steps:
  1. Place noodles into boiling salted water, cook, drain.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Combine dressing ingredients in a jar.
  5. Shake well.
  6. Pour over salad and blend through.
  7. Chill.

Baked Chicken And Mushrooms

Hey all...this is one of favourite dish to cook. Its very simple and easy to prepare and cook.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons butter or oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 broiler−fryer chicken, cut up or 2 1/2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

Steps:
  1. Melt butter in 13" X 9" baking pan.
  2. Stir in thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge chicken pieces in flour, then swish in butter (both sides), until coated.
  4. Arrange them in a baking dish. Bake in hot oven (400F) until browned, about 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F, turn over chicken pieces, and add mushrooms and wine.
  5. Cover dish with foil and continue baking about 30 minutes longer.
