Blue Cornmeal Chicken Wings



Hi all, here's another simple yet delicious chicken recipes to try. Mind drop a comment 1 or 2 for this recipes..have a nice day ;).



Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Lime juice
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed red pepper
  • 10 Chicken wings (about 2 lb)
  • 2 tablespoons Margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup Blue or yellow cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper

Steps:


  1. Mix lime juice, oil and red pepper in large glass or plastic bowl.
  2. Cut each chicken wing at joints to make 3 pieces.
  3. Discard tip.
  4. Cut off and discard excess skin.
  5. Place wings in oil mixture and stir to coat.
  6. Cover and refrig 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  7. Drain and heat oven to 425F.
  8. Heat margarine Shake remaining ingredients in plastic bag or mix in bowl.
  9. Shake wings in cornmeal mixture to coat and place in pan.
  10. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes.
  11. Turn. Bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes longer.

Barbecue Chicken Wings

Today post a simple barbecue recipes for chicken,only requires marinating and long cooking time ;).

Barbecue Chicken Wings

  • 35 Chicken wings -- tips removed
  • 1 Stick butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Dry red wine
  • 2 teaspoons Dry mustard
  • 2 large Garlic cloves -- crushed
  • 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste

Steps:
  1. Place chicken wings, disjointed, in large flat pan.
  2. Combine other ingredients and pour over chicken.
  3. Let stand for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  4. Be sure all wings are well coated with marinade.
  5. Place pan in 350 oven and reduce heat to 250.
  6. Bake 4-5 hours, turning wings at regular intervals.
  7. If all marinade is not absorbed, pour off and dry wings out a bit longer in oven (but not too much) before serving.

Barbecue Wing Dings

  • 3 pounds chicken wing
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 drops Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups ketchup
  • 1 onion

  1. Cut off the small piece of the chicken wing and the bony part so you have only the meaty part.
  2. Mix the ketchup, onion (cut up), brown sugar and sauce together.
  3. Dip wings in the sauce.
  4. Put on cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hour.
  6. If you have extra sauce, cook in saucepan until thick.

Chicken Wing Recipes

First post will be about chicken wing recipes. Got it from a friend who selling the e-book. Will post only few of it. Enjoy the recipes :)

Cajun Chicken Wings

  • 12 Chicken wings -- tips removed
  • 5 Bay leaves -- crumbled into bits
  • 3/4 teaspoon Caraway seeds
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. Cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 3/4 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 4 Garlic cloves -- finely
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika -- preferably
  • 3/4 teaspoon Dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Brandy
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon or lime juice

Steps:

  1. Defat the chicken wings by cooking them in boiling water for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and set aside to cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  4. Using a large mortar and pestle, grind together the bay leaf bits, caraway seeds, cayenne pepper, coriander, cumin, garlic, mustard, paprika, thyme and salt for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the brandy and lemon or lime juice to the pulverized herbs and stir into a thick paste.
  6. With a pastry brush, cover both sides of each wing with the herb paste.
  7. When no more remains in the mortar, squeeze the last few drops from the brush.
  8. Arrange the chicken wings on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake until the skin turns deep brown and is quite crisp approximately 30 minutes.
  10. Takes about an hour to prepare.
